By: Susan Caron My
name is Susan Caron, I have been an artist for 30 years. I
originally started in detailed pencil sketches of architectural homes
and buildings. I attended the Cobourg Waterfront Festival for three
years. I have done a number of charitable sketches for different local
charities. I feel it is very important to give back to the community as
much as possible. At that time in my life I was doing many
commissions of homes for people. It was a great feeling to be able to
reproduce a person’s home for them to have memories for years to come.
In
2003 I suffered a major work place accident and lost the use of my
dominate hand. After three years of intense labor I was able to teach
myself to paint with the other hand. I actually found another part of
myself that hadn’t yet been explored and it’s exciting to be able to
share my art with others once again. I now do many large acrylic
abstracts as well as continuing with my water colour. I have been
showing my works at different galleries and will continue to do so. I
also do commission work in acrylics for anyone who is interested.
